What you know 'bout me?
Ha. Such a whimisical name for a blog that will most likely turn out to be depressing. I'm warning you now, I'm tired and tonight...well, I didn't go badly but, it didn't go as amazingly as I had planned. So, I went to work like normal with a packed bag to go out dancing later. I was supposed to see a movie in between getting off work and going to The Crib. Well, my friend is being sketch so, I decide to go to the movies by myself. Why not? I love my company. So, I go to see Beowulf. Which was an incredibly bad decision. The phrase "I AM BEOWULF" needs to be eradicated from the English Language. The entire plotline was ridiculous although they kind of had to roughly go with the bardic transcription on this one. Even though from what I remember, they didn't do a very good job. Again, that's from what I remember. Anyways, after my friend flakes on me with the movies, she flakes on me at the club, too! I was like "aww Hell naw" because, of course my grammar deteriorates at such events. I called her up and told her to get her ass down there but, to no avail. So, i spent most of my night flitting from this group (that I don't know very well) to that group (which I also don't know very well). It was interesting that I was so out of my element. I asked a few guys to dance but, that didn't go so well. I saw a couple of guys there that I had danced with before. Again, not so well. The most hilarious event of the night: First guy I talked to? Straight. As in, I go to a gay club. Sit down and pick the one guy who is guaranteed to not be interested. I mean sure, there were a lot of guys there not interested but, this guy was 0%. Hilarious. Oh, and I got groped. It made me slightly uncomfortable but then I guess somebody found me attractive. It was a pervy, invasive compliment, I suppose. I don't know. I'm just tired and cross and I have to be up in 3 hours to ride the bus to ride the bus to ride the train home. I'm going home! And then gay things will be the least of my worries. Because Nipomo doesn't have any! Hahaha. But honestly, as of right now I'm a little bit bored with the gay club scene. And the gay community in general. To generalize, they are shallow and not interested in what this tall, relationship-oriented, marginally attractive, seldom flamboyant, okay dancer has to offer. But, it's okay. The moon is beautiful tonight.

You're the beautiful one!
You brought back memories of when I have done that. FLitted from one unknown group of people to another wondering "what am i doing here?!?"
and Stayed. Til the end.
oh well.
I think there are angelz out there keeping your buffered from stuff you're not supposed to be doing - just yet.
which is fine. weird (of me to think that) but fine.
I never thought the movie would be a success. 3D angelina jolie probably wasn't smart. And as for the club thing, your one straight guy is ironically the parallel universe gay guy that every other girl looking for a guy runs into. Funny yet sad.
G, thanks for letting me in on this wonderful bloggy window into your magical, unfolding life. It's interesting to hear your comments on the provincial Nipomo experience, but I'm happy to say that we burst your blanket misconception about no gay people to be found in Nipomo, since you got to meet three of our dear friends at the solstice gathering who are also gay and wonderful and stable and into relationships and a better world, as you are. And that doesn't count the other couple who couldn't come because one (Mike) was sick. So, see, Nipomo is changing, partly because the world is changing, and the world is changing, largely because of people like you.
Happy Solstice, Happy Life, Happy Future to you now and always.
Donna
